About Mike:
Mike Rivera is a stand-up comedian, father, and teacher. After decades of award-winning comedy and classroom experience, Mr. Rivera won America’s Most Hilarious Teacher on ABC’s The View. He’s been seen on the Bored Teachers Summer Comedy Tour, HBO, SHOWTIME, and comedy stages around the world.
A crowd favorite at teaching conventions, Mr. Rivera delivers “teachable moments” packed with high-energy humor. He can deliver an entire show devoted to teaching. Mr. Rivera’s toured the United States, Europe, and the
Caribbean. He rolls through a fast-paced set chock-full of clever observations and quick-witted jokes on everything from fatherhood and teaching to relationships. Whether headlining another club or featuring as a keynote, class is in session when Mr. Rivera takes the stage.
About Jay:
Jay Yoder is an accomplished comedian, podcaster and content creator. He has performed for thousands of people as he’s brought his comedic stylings to the Bored Teachers Comedy Tour. Jay is also a regular at Soul Joel’s Comedy Club and a semifinalist for Magooby’s Comic of the Year (2023) as well as the winner of Explore DE’s March Laughness Tournament (2022). Jay has performed in festivals such as the Vermont Comedy Festival, Portland Comedy Festival and the Good Karma Comedy Festival. Jay has also had success as a co-host of the Teachers Off Duty Podcast: Season 4, which reached #4 on Apple Podcasts. He also hosts a fatherhood podcast called ‘Seriously, Dad?’Jay is also an accomplished content creator. He has collaborated with companies such AFC Urgent Care as his social media content has amassed millions of views while consistently reaching up to 3.5 million people each month with his hysterical and relatable content on Instagram, Facebook and TikTok.
Jay has material that appeals to all audiences! From his experiences as a father of two, a special needs parent of an autistic daughter, his unique upbringing as the son of gay parents while living in 80s Scranton, and his job as a public school teacher for over 20 years. He brings the funny to any scenario! Real is funny! Jay can work completely clean family friendly shows as well as late night clubs; a true Renaissance Man!
Jay is currently touring the country, but also enjoys bringing his humor to companies and schools across the country as he discusses topics such as being a Special needs parent, Teacher burnout and the state of education. He is currently working on a TV pilot based on his own life as well as writing a children’s story about his daughter with ASD.
